45 Not So ‘Weddingy’ Wedding Songs

By June 28, 2020 June 29th, 2020 Music

Hi Lovers! Although we haven’t been able to perform any wedding songs of late *sad face* I thought it was a great opportunity to get some resources together.

It’s been a crazy couple of months. Despite this uncertainty, I hope you’ve been able to move forward with your wedding plans without too much compromise.

I especially want to thank our clients who have been affected. You have been incredible in the face of the disappointments you’ve had to face. We can’t wait to see your plans come together. It will be especially joyful to be apart of making your day as beautiful as you deserve.

We are very much looking forward to an extra busy 2021 and can’t wait to get back into the performing side of things ASAP! While this has been an uncertain couple of months, isolation has given me some time to work on some unfinished projects.

Wedding Songs

During the last few weeks, I’ve been reviewing years of past performed wedding songs, set lists, and trawled Spotify to pull together some wedding music inspiration.

I’ve tried to include wedding songs that weren’t to ‘weddingy’ but would also appeal to most music tastes.

If you’re the kind of couple who are into something a little more ‘alt,’ the first list might appeal to you. It includes some indie-folk, lots of acoustic chill for the free-spirited-ocean-lovers, and some not-so- ‘weddingy’ pop/alt-rock tunes.

In the same way, if you’re all about classic romance (but concerned about the cheese factor creeping in), we’ve got you ‘covered.’ The second is a list of beautiful wedding covers you’ll TOTALLY love. We are all about a modern twist on a much-loved wedding song. It’s almost symbolic – a refreshing mix of old and new memories, reflection, and new beginnings – and, isn’t that what a wedding is all about? Don’t be concerned if the wedding songs you have in mind aren’t on the list. You can almost always find a cover of a classic choice online. Or, (even better), you can always find a musician to recreate the magic live, just for you, on the day.

Enjoy and happy wedding planning!

As always, if you’re after any advice or suggestions on how to make your wedding songs extra special, we’d love to hear from you:)
